Failed to add CAA record

Hello,

I would like to add a CAA-Record to my domain:

@ IN CAA 1 issue "letsencrypt.org"
@ IN CAA 1 iodef "mailto:caa@mk16.de"

However, when I try to add the record, the following message appears:

We're sorry, but something went wrong.

If you are the application owner check the logs for more information.

Ahh, it was because I was using a CNAME record. After I switched to an ALIAS record, it works.

Yeah - we don’t have great errors unfortunately, but only ALIAS records work on the root name
